Terms of Service

Welcome to Mingle Hauz. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mingle Hauz mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Mingle Hauz. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Mingle Hauz

You must be at least 18 years old.
You must provide accurate registration information (real name, real photo, real phone number).
You must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction.
You may not impersonate someone else.
You may only maintain one Mingle Hauz account.

2. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
Upload content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, violent, or discriminatory.
Solicit money, gifts, or services from other users.
Use Mingle Hauz for commercial promotion without our written consent.
Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service.
Bypass safety, moderation, or rate-limiting systems.
Attempt to identify, locate, or contact a Mingle Hauz user outside the app without their consent.

3. Content you post

You retain ownership of any photos, profile information, messages, and event details you create on Mingle Hauz. You grant Mingle Hauz a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating Mingle Hauz.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Mingle Hauz may remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

4. Real-world meetups — your responsibility

Mingle Hauz is for organising real-world meetups. We do not vet users, conduct criminal background checks, or guarantee anyone's identity. You are responsible for your own safety when meeting people from Mingle Hauz.

Always:

Meet in a public place for the first time.
Tell a friend or family member where you're going.
Arrange your own transport.
Trust your instincts — leave if anything feels off.

If a Mingle Hauz user behaves badly in person, report them in-app and to local authorities as appropriate.

5. Events and tickets

Events are organised by Mingle Hauz users ("Hosts"), not Mingle Hauz itself. Mingle Hauz is not a party to any event, contract, or payment between a Host and attendees. Hosts are responsible for:

Their event's accuracy, safety, and legality.
Refunds or cancellations.
Any licences, insurance, or permissions required by law.

Mingle Hauz may suspend or remove events that violate these Terms.

6. Privacy

Your use of Mingle Hauz is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or if your continued use creates a safety risk for other users.

8. Disclaimers

Mingle Hauz is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mingle Hauz disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Mingle Hauz is not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the platform. Any disputes between users are between those users.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mingle Hauz and its founders, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded entirely, Mingle Hauz's aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to Mingle Hauz in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £100.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Mingle Hauz harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your conduct, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless local consumer law requires otherwise.
